Program Evaluation

Assessing Efficacy & Accountability

TGOW-I conducted its first series of program evaluations during the summer of 1985 when it contracted with the Dayton Urban League to evaluate the agency's federal, state, and locally-funded programs. This was followed by subsequent consultancies that led to the evaluation of state-wide and local district education programs, to those at the university level, as well as globally-based initiatives in Southern Africa and the Caribbean.

Highlights of our experiences in the field include evaluations of:

  • Hampton University: Service-Learning Program
  • State of California Department of Education: Adult & Continuing Education Programs
  • Wright State University, Graduate School of Professional Psychology:: Cultural Audit
  • Capital University Law School/Jamaica Bar Association: Jamaica Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
  • UNCF/Special Programs, Washington, D.C., Principal Investigator, Distance Learning Technical Capacity Assessment, Christian University, San Andres Island, Columbia, South America
  •  U.S. Information Agency, Washington, D.C., External Program Evaluator, Democratization in Southern Africa, Lake Kariba, Lusaka, Zambia
